The religious witch-hunts in the New England of old used to encourage children to report evil doings by their parents.
In the Salem witch trials they tied the accused to an object like a chair then lowered the suspected witch into the water and if they drowned they were not witches, if they floated saved themselves they were witches. It was a lose lose situation.
In this new version of the witch-hunts the English global warming denier hunters will have the children of the accused kneel their parents behind the family sedan and suck on the tailpipe. If they live they’ll be accused of not breathing deep enough. If they die the Climate Cops will nod solemnly and decree that they would still be alive today if they had used a better quality bio fuel.

Radovan Karadzik : Faith Healer or Alternative Health Practitioner

Radovan Karadzic made his first appearance before an international war crimes court yesterday. The former Bosnian Serb leader was charged by the United Nations with 11 counts of war crimes, including genocide. There’s been several stories posted on this subject but The Daily Telegraph published the one that caught my eye.
In this article he reports that “the 63-year-old former psychiatrist and faith healer went on to claim that Richard Holbrooke, the former U.S. secretary of state, had granted him immunity as part of a wider Bosnia peace deal agreed to in 1995”.
After reading several previous reports on Radovan Karadzic I was under the impression that that he was an alternative health practitioner and not a faith healer. The Daily Telegraph further reports
“Mr. Karadzic, who has shaved off the beard, the long hair and faith healer persona that hid his identity during more than a decade on the run, began by quietly answering “Da” to questions concerning his knowledge of his legal rights and his decision to conduct his own defence”.
I was always under the impression that Faith healing is the attempt to use religious or spiritual means such as prayer to cure disease
In contrast, an alternative health practitioner has some knowledge about a lot of natural therapies. Many of the therapies that a naturopath has a general understanding of (e.g. Western Herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nutrition, Acupuncture and Homeopathy)can also be studied exclusively as specialties for up to 4 years each. To become a specialist in each of the therapies listed above would require 15-20 years of training and an equal number of years in practical experience.
This is obviously inconsequential when talking about all the horrors this man is accused of but I was just curious to find out which method of health care he actually used to practice, Faith Healing or Alternative Health practitioner. There is a huge difference between the two.
